Independent insurance brokers, Erskine Murray, is delighted to have been awarded Chartered status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in recognition of the company’s commitment to quality and professionalism.

The Leicester-based firm of insurance brokers has been working towards Chartered status for some time, with all directors and members of staff committed to achieving the rigorous standards required.

Awarded by the Privy Council, Chartered status is the industry’s gold standard and a benchmark for professional excellence, signifying a company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of technical competence, integrity and ethical conduct.

The firm is required to ensure the advice, service and on-going support they provide is of the highest quality, based solely on a client’s researched needs, and given by someone operating within their level of competency.

This is achieved by committing to some serious obligations. We must ensure the continual technical and professional development of our staff through professional qualifications; that all directors and at least 90% of customer-facing staff belong to the CII and adhere to its Code of Ethics; and that all staff keep their skills-set and knowledge up to date.

Alan Wheeler ACII, Managing Director of Erskine Murray, comments: “Receiving this title marks a milestone in the onward development of our business, in line with our vision of continually putting clients first, achieving excellence in all that we do and establishing Erskine Murray as a leading UK independent insurance broker. We look forward to meeting the on-going insurance requirements of our clients, and, in line with our Chartered status, exceeding expectations in terms of service, quality and professionalism.”
