UKs largest broker network Bravo to offer members funded apprenticeships

Bravo Networks, the UK’s largest network of insurance brokers, are offering their members the opportunity to grow their staff through fully funded apprenticeships, provided by leading learning and development company, Raise the Bar.

Bravo Networks are sharing their apprenticeship levy with their England-based members to support them in developing their leaders with Raise the Bar's L3 Excelling in Team Leadership programme. This apprenticeship is designed for managers with experience in managing a team or project, or aspiring managers who want to develop into a management role.

The Raise the Bar programme is available only to the Network’s England-based members, so Bravo Networks are also working with Welsh apprenticeship provider, ALS Training to extend this initiative to their Wales-based members. ALS can offer a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management which is fully funded by the Welsh Government, meaning members will also not need to pay for this service.

Rachel Longbottom, Head of Service Performance and Innovation at Bravo Networks commented: “The Networks are delighted to share our Apprenticeship levy with our members to support them in retaining talent, developing emerging talent and allowing their first-time managers to gain valuable insight into leading teams effectively. I am a huge advocate for people development, helping to identify people’s strengths and maximising their potential in the workplace.

“It’s important that we continue to push for apprenticeships and internal development opportunities within the insurance space, especially when it comes to attracting new and young talent to the industry. It’s unlikely brokers will find someone who is new to insurance with all the qualifications they might want for a role, so it’s much more important to hire based on their attitude and personality – skills can be learnt.”
