Willis Towers Watson hires former Carillion insurance risk manager

Willis Towers Watson has announced the appointment of Andy Kirby to the major projects team within UK Construction in Corporate Risk & Broking GB.

Based in London, Andy will be working with the UK Construction Practice, as part of one of the leading international insurance brokers and professional risk consultants to the global construction industry, providing advisory and insurance/risk management services to contractors, sponsors, developers, financiers and professional consultants for business generated in the UK.

He will be responsible for a portfolio of key major clients and will have accountability for developing and growing the business. With a background in construction he will bring the technical, industry and subject matter expertise required to deliver the service, including the provision of consultancy advice and procurement of insurance programmes for both annual/multi-year and major development projects incorporating a range of specialist products.

His appointment is part of Willis Towers Watson’s continued significant investment in its UK offering and is part of an ongoing development of its UK Construction business.

Andy has been at Carillion for over 30 years holding a number of insurance advisory and broking roles for Carillion’s in-house insurance team, becoming group insurance risk manager in 2004.
