Unauthorised firm transacting insurance business using the social media website Instagram.
The FCA has issued a warning to the public advising that GLC Insurance has been providing financial services or products in the UK without our authorisation via Instagram.
This is contrary to rules that state that almost all firms offering, promoting or selling financial services or products in the UK must be authorised by them.
The firm GLC Car Insurance describes itself as ‘specialised car insurance broker’ and its live Instagram page www.instagram.com/glccarinsurance/ has 3,478 followers.
