The Group today announces the appointment of Phil Williams as Chief Operating Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
Williams, who joins the main Clear Group operating board, brings significant operational experience from a range of roles in high-growth businesses across broking, underwriting and reinsurance.
Williams undertook a number of roles at Simply Business, during a period when the business grew from 170 to 1,200 employees and earned the Sunday Times ‘Best company to work for’ in 2015 and 2016. During his time there, he led their operations team and was Managing Director of their global MGA, instrumental in setting it up and supporting growth in the UK and North America. In addition, Williams is the current Non-executive Director of the Society of Underwriting Professionals.
