Canopy, the property app revolutionising the rental industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of their new Chief Marketing Office, Ruth Polyblank, former Head of SME and Digital at Chubb Insurance.
Polyblank brings 17-years of experience in insurance and financial services including roles at Equity, Fusion, CLS and EY. In 2017, Polyblank was commended for her contribution to technology in the WeAreTechWomen’s TechWomen50 Awards.
She has joined Canopy’s senior management at a key moment in the company’s development. Canopy has made several high-profile appointments to the team in recent months, including Ex-Gaming CTO Graham Stewart, and Property Sector Executive, Jon Pitt.
Polyblank will be responsible for growth, customer innovation and product development at Canopy, drawing on her expertise to overhaul the rental industry.

By paying rent directly via the RentPassportTM, renters can build their Experian credit score, which accelerates the process of getting on the property ladder. Canopy’s DepositFreeTM insurance product, a one-off policy payment made by the tenant, provides landlords and renters with the same protection as a traditional cash security deposit – but at a fraction of the cost of a traditional security deposit.
Canopy has teamed up with a number of estate agents to offer RentPassportTM –meaning the security deposit will soon be a thing of the past. Polyblank will build on the momentum of 10,000 renters who are now paying rent through the Canopy app to transform the rental industry.
