Industry collaboration calls for businesses to ‘Think Different.’ ‘Work Better.’ ‘GAIN Together.’

Over 200 businesses and individuals in the insurance, investment and financial services sector are gathering today to mark the public launch of GAIN (Group for Autism, Insurance and Neurodiversity).

GAIN is committed to championing neurodiversity through an industry-wide initiative, that will positively impact lives and improve workplaces, for the benefit of all.

GAIN is a Community Interest Company, established by a growing alliance of senior insurance and investment individuals, in collaboration with founder members: Marsh, Swiss Re, Principal, Zurich, Underwrite Me, Lexxic, ISC Group, arcQ, Ambitious about Autism and Expand the Circle.

GAIN is urging businesses to think differently about the skills neurodivergent individuals can bring to the workplace, to meet the growing need for creative thinking and problem solving.   It is also encouraging businesses to work better by refining recruitment and management processes to attract and retain the workforce of tomorrow.  Finally, by creating a safe place and community, businesses and individuals can GAIN Together through a network hub, training and resources.  It is GAIN’s desire to create an inclusive workplace, where everyone feels able to bring their whole selves to work.   As a result, GAIN hopes to create opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent people to engage in rewarding work and to enable the industry to recognise the benefits of building a diverse workforce, to meet the growing need for talent.

As part of the launch, Georgina Philippou, Senior Advisor for Equality at the FCA will be sharing a keynote speech on neurodiversity and regulation.

Following the launch, businesses and individuals will be able to join the growing community of GAINchangers, which is open to everyone in the insurance, investment and related financial services industry as well as those looking to work in the sector.  For more information and to join the GAIN community, visit: www.gaintogether.org
