Gauntlet Group earns CII Chartered Insurance Broker status

Gauntlet-Group

Leeds-based commercial insurance broker and risk manager, Gauntlet Group, has demonstrated its unswerving commitment to the upholding of professional standards within the insurance industry, by earning Chartered Insurance Broker status from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Being awarded this prestigious and highly exclusive title – which fewer than 200 firms have achieved – endorses Gauntlet Group’s professionalism and ethics and benchmarks the independently run business with those larger organisations who have also managed to achieve Chartered status.

Having the Chartered Insurance Broker title will assist Gauntlet Group’s standing in its sector, enhance its attractiveness as an employer and give it a further fillip as a principal of an Appointed Representative (AR) Network.

Having already been scrutinised and approved by the insurance sector’s Thematic Review of Appointed Representative networks, Gauntlet Enterprise should be able to boost its impressive growth still further, attracting even more high-calibre insurance professionals wishing to launch their own brokerage in partnership with a network that delivers, supports and heavily invests in infrastructure.

Earning the Chartered Insurance Broker title also reinforces the fact that integrity is one of Gauntlet Group’s brand values, with this being evidenced in every part and aspect of its organisation whether that be as an insurer and risk manager, AR principal, health and safety consultant or Willis Towers Watson network member.

Managing director, Roger Gaunt, says: “We are delighted and honoured to receive the prestigious title of Chartered Insurance Broker, which has been gained thanks to the efforts and commitments of every member of staff.  Rigorous criteria apply to this award and it is a huge endorsement of our professionalism and capabilities and our success in managing our significant and fast growth, without letting standards slip.

“This is another landmark moment within Gauntlet Group’s ongoing journey and should make working for, or with us, even more compelling, whether you are a prospective employee, client or insurance professional seeking the huge rewards that can come from self-employment.  Chartered Insurance status shows that trust in Gauntlet is not misplaced.”

Gauntlet Group has grown rapidly in recent years and recorded a fee income of £4.25 million in its last financial year.  It employs 60 staff, across all areas of commercial broking and risk management and has a dedicated in-house health and safety team.  Gauntlet Enterprise now has 40 Appointed Representatives, comprising some of the most talented and respected insurance professionals in the sector with some working in specific niches, such as equine insurance and removals and fine arts insurance.
