Gallagher has made a number of key leadership appointments in the South within its UK Retail division to help support continued business growth. Gallagher’s UK Retail division employs nearly 800 colleagues in the region, and has over 20 offices across the South of England supporting businesses based in the area, and it is also home to a number of Gallagher’s specialist practices which serve businesses nationally.
In the first of the appointments, Steve Risk* has been appointed regional managing director of the South West. Gallagher’s region in the South West includes its specialist marine business, Coleman Marine, its specialist trade credit practice plus regional offices in Swindon, Gloucester, Bristol, High Wycombe and Exeter. He will take over responsibility for the South West offices from Patrick O’Connell who is moving into a chairman role for the region having previously been regional managing director for the South West and Gallagher’s real estate practice.
Simon Waine has been appointed regional managing director for London and the South East. Simon previously ran Gallagher’s UK Retail London offices in Central London, Croydon, Guildford and Luton and he will now also oversee branches in Chelmsford, Ipswich and West Malling (Kent).
Jon Phillips* has been appointed regional managing director of Gallagher’s specialist real estate practice, based in the South. In this role he will have overall responsibility for Gallagher’s real estate offering and will continue to lead Gallagher’s specialist real estate and legal indemnities teams in London, Bristol, Borehamwood and Guildford.
Tim Devine* has been appointed regional managing director for Gallagher’s specialist public sector & education (PSE), communities and social housing practices, having previously led PSE and communities as managing director.
Rob Enock has been appointed regional managing director of the South Coast having previously been managing director of Gallagher’s Chichester office. He will now additionally lead Gallagher’s Poole, Guildford, Southampton, Hedge End and Isle of Wight offices.
David Anderson has been appointed commercial director and will work alongside the regional managing directors to help further grow Gallagher’s business across the South. David was previously regional managing director for the East.
Susie Day has been appointed marketing director for the South having previously lead marketing activity for Gallagher’s niche businesses. All of the new roles will report to Gary Fletcher, managing director of the South for Gallagher’s UK Retail division.
