The FCA has issued two warnings about firms it believes are offering insurance services to members of the general public in the UK without their explicit authorisation.
This illegal practice is commonly refered to Ghost Broking and members of the public are advised to only use firms that have an FCA registration number.
The standing advice is that if a person looking to purchase insurance is in doubt about the authenticity of over a firm offering insurance they should visit the FCA website and check their register for added peace of mind.
