The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has cleared the proposed merger between Markerstudy Group and Ardonagh’s personal lines broking business, Atlanta Group (Atlanta).
Commenting on the news which was announced today, 26 March 2024, Kevin Spencer, Chief Executive of Markerstudy Group, said: “We welcome today’s (26 March 2024) decision, and I want to thank everyone who has been working so hard on this phase of the process.”
He added: “I said at the time we announced the proposed deal that combining Markerstudy and Atlanta would create a major new player in personal lines, bringing benefits to millions of customers and fulfilling our long-term strategic ambitions.
“Today’s (26 March 2024) approval is an important step forward in bringing our vision to reality.”
