Ewen Brown has started 2020 with the Compass London Markets team as Sales Director, bringing with him 27 years of experience in the broking industry.
Ewen worked most recently with JLT Specialty where he spent six years as Broker Development Manager; prior to which he fulfilled a Business Development Manager role at Lark. Having also worked with both COBRA and Marsh, and with 11 years as a broker under his belt thanks to his time with Burrows Keith, Ewen understands the challenges facing independent brokers in the UK better than most.
As Sales Director, Ewen will work with the wider team to shape the strategy at Compass London Markets, ensuring that it continues to be celebrated as the leading path into Lloyd’s of London for independent brokers across the UK.
Ewen comments: “I know how hard the job is for brokers, having worked on both sides of the table. My background in regional broking means that I understand the challenges that the brokers we work with are facing, and how vitally important it is to achieve a swift solution that truly works for the broker and their client. I’m excited to be able to use the experience and learning that I have gathered throughout my career in this role; primarily, my aim is to start building strong relationships with our broking community as soon as possible.”
