Challenger insurTech hubb wins multiple Startup Awards


hubb, an InsurTech known for its mission to place radical transparency at the centre of insurance broking, is celebrating its victory at the StartUp Awards National Series after winning in two categories.

Created in a collaborative effort between the Great British Entrepreneur Awards and Wales StartUp Awards co-founders, the StartUp Awards National Series celebrates and recognises the achievements of entrepreneurs ready to spot opportunities and take risks in order to get their new business off the ground. Not only was hubb recognised as Start-Up of the Year in the Glasgow category, but the disruptor brand’s significant impact on the insurance technology space earned the firm the title of FinTech Start-Up of the Year.

In winning this award, hubb impressed the awarding judges with its application of “new technologies to products and services in the fintech space.” This year’s nominees were expected to demonstrate a clear commitment to innovation while disrupting the FinTech sector – an attitude that hubb embodies in its use of a transparent broking platform that offers customers full access to the ‘back-office’ processes that many brokers hide from their clients.

hubb’s successful nominations at the StartUp Awards National Series follow a string of recent milestones for the InsurTech. In May, hubb won a Global Business Tech Award in the category “Best Tech Start-Up,” which praised its innovative implementation of metaverse technologies into its internal practices.
