Atlanta Group makes two senior appointments

Atlanta Group has made two senior appointments to newly created roles to broaden its distribution reach and range of products.

Mark Greening has joined as Director of Trading for Aggregators and Innovation, and Ron Atkinson as Director of Wholesale.

Mark joins after 12 years at GoCompare where, as director of partner development, he shaped the price comparison website’s commercial strategy across a range of products. Prior to GoCompare he previously worked at Admiral, Confused and Lloyds Banking Group.

At Atlanta Mark will be responsible for how brands including Swinton, Autonet, Marmalade, Be Wiser and Carole Nash optimise their strategy on price comparison websites and for the distribution of new product launches.

Mark commented: “Having dealings with the team at Atlanta for many years I have always been impressed with the way it does business with such a positive and a genuine ‘can do’ attitude. The business has been on a huge growth curve over the last few years and I believe we are entering a golden era of broking as we emerge from Covid. I’m really pleased to be part of that journey.”

Ron joins from SSP where he was head of insurer relationships and distribution director with responsibility for Keychoice, where he worked with insurers and data partners to deliver the best terms for independent broker members. Before SSP he spent 30 years at Swinton in a variety of roles.

At Atlanta Ron will oversee the roll out and expansion of Atlanta Hub; a hosting, rating and distribution platform that will harness Atlanta’s view of data, analytics and fraud to offer insight to improve the personal lines insurance products available for brokers.
