This short article has not got anything to do with insurance.
With strong evidence that the cost-of-living crisis is starting to bite, I couldn’t sit idly by and not share with you details of a campaign I have launched aimed at helping the most vulnerable members of our society…
The Problem - With inflation running at over 10%, some people in our country are going to find things tougher than ever.
I’m sure like me you never imagined that you’d be living in a country where the most vulnerable people in our society would be faced with the stark choice between heating or eating. Sadly this is reality.
With a view to helping the situation, I have started a campaign aimed at getting the leading supermarkets to build a functionality on their websites that would enable visitors, whilst doing their own shopping, to:
- Produce and pay for a list of grocery products for a local foodbank based on their needs (including delivery)
- Buy a 'ready-made' up bag of groceries (for delivery to a foodbank) based on how much they wanted to donate
- Donate accumulated 'reward points' to a local foodbank for them to use
What I’d like you to do
I would be grateful if you could:
- Sign this petition Cost of Living Crisis: Online Supermarkets to enable FOODBANK donations
- Copy and share this link https://chng.it/FqjFCcgKs4 with your family, friends and colleagues and if you use LinkedIn or Twitter share this link on your social media channels
Thank you for your help in anticipation, it’s genuinely appreciated.
With best wishes
Paul
