RSA are making changes to RSA Online

RSA-online

Authored by RSA

We are investing in our RSA Online platform, to keep informed, please read about how the changes affect you and how you trade with us.

As part of the continuing improvement to our e-trading capabilities we are investing in upgrades to our RSA Online portal.

The improvements will mainly take place in the background to help us offer you easier, simpler and faster online trading. However, there are a few changes that will affect what you see on screen and how you trade on RSA Online, and we wanted to give you as much notice as possible.

The changes are scheduled to be rolled out between Q4 2021 and Q1 2022 for five of our e-traded products on RSA Online:

  • Shop Q4 2021
  • Office Q4 2021
  • Mini Fleet Q1 2022
  • property Q1 2022
  • Tradespeople Q1 2022

What's changing?

Your renewals will have a new policy number

As your client’s policy comes up for renewal they will be issued with a new slightly longer policy number that will start with RSAP, rather than the current shorter policy number starting with RSH.

Commission Flex will need to be reapplied at renewal

At renewal your commission will revert to your default amount, either your standard rate or, where applicable, your deal rate. To ensure you and your client are not affected, if you still wish to retain your commission rate for that policy, you will need to reapply any commission adjustment within the agreed limits. To remind you, a pop up will appear on the screen and navigate you to the correct page to complete this.

Direct Debit payments on your broker account

Your client’s direct debit payments, along with their new policy number, will show on your broker account until the funds are settled by Premium Credit Limited. Most payment will be settled before your account is due so you may not see these on your account, but it is something you should be aware of.

Discount Codes

If you have the authority, you will now need a code to amend premiums. Your usual RSA contact will issue you with the new codes shortly before each product’s upgrade on RSA Online.

Employers Liability Tracing Office Data

You will now need to provide your client’s subsidiary and Employee Reference Number (ERN) data before obtaining a quote. This is a change in process, but no additional work for you if the policy is bound.

Referral process change

If you want to use the <Refer to Underwriter> option to refer to us, the record on RSA Online will no longer be locked, so you shouldn’t amend your referral until we respond.

Our plan is to continually invest in our RSA Online platform to make working with us a better experience for you. Our online service and tools are aimed at reducing the number of referrals and winning new business together.
