RSA appoints Christian Baltzer as new CEO for Scandinavian business

Christian Baltzer had been appointed as the new Chief Executive of RSA Group Denmark-based insurer, Codan. Baltzer will formally take up the new role on the 1st February 2020, subject to approval by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.

Baltzer brings experience from the financial sector and the insurance industry, where he has worked for almost 20 years. Most recently, he has served as Group chief financial officer of Danske Bank and, prior to that, Group CFO of Tryg.

Baltzer will take up his new role in February 2020, subject to approval by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority

The appointment strengthens Codan in Denmark and its ability to enhance customer satisfaction, growth and profitability over the coming years.
