QBE appoints new Director of Underwriting, Casualty for UK

QBE has appointed Anna Bennett as Director of Underwriting, Casualty for the UK.

Anna will report to Chris Wallace, Executive Director, UK Insurance and is based in London.

She has acted as Interim Director of Underwriting, Casualty since 2021 and previously held roles as QBE European Operations Divisional Lead for Multinational and Portfolio Manager in the UK Casualty Major Risks team, having joined QBE in 2018.

Anna takes over from Matt Lacy who has been appointed Programme Director for Construction and Multinational. In his new role, he will play a key part in QBE European Operation’s strategic growth agenda and report to Cécile Fresneau, Managing Director, Insurance.

Chris Wallace, Executive Director, UK Insurance QBE Europe, said: “I am delighted to be able to announce Anna’s permanent appointment to one of our major portfolios. As our casualty customers continue to operate in a challenging environment, Anna and her team will be focused on finding the best possible solutions for the risks they face.”
