aQmen Underwriting adds Cyber Liability and more to specialist recruitment policies

aQmen Underwriting, part of Q Underwriting, have recently made some changes to their specialist commercial combined policies for recruitment industry.

RecruiterCover is already a specialist and tailored product for this complex sector, including cover for contractual liability for non-standard contracts, vicarious liability for temporary workers and the option to include driver’s negligence and fidelity bonding.

aQmen Underwriting has responded to feedback from brokers and clients alike that described mounting concerns over certain areas of cover in this ever-evolving business, which is also becoming more reliant on data.

Cyber Liability is a new section of cover which will provide cover for IT Forensic Investigation Costs, Privacy Response Costs and Regulatory Penalties. Cover is now also provided for GDPR breaches, a risk which has grown in importance since the creation of the new General Data Protection Regulation, now housed under Legal Expenses.

Furthermore, a new sub-section sits under the Employers and Public Liability sections which covers Prosecution Defence Costs; corporate manslaughter and corporate homicide cover will now be provided automatically.

Gary Chambers, Technical Underwriting Manager for Recruitment at aQmen Underwriting, says: “There has been a requirement in the market for a while now to encourage recruiters to ensure they have Cyber Liability cover – especially since the introduction of GDPR back in 2017. The losses a business could suffer are far greater than before, if they experience a data breach. These new policy wordings simply provide automatic cover for modern risks.”

Gary has been writing and adapting policy wordings for the recruitment industry since 1997 and has watched the industry evolve a great deal as regulations have changed over the last 20 years.

Providing an entire suite of covers in a simple combined policy, RecruiterCover cover can be customised to suit the needs of clients and can be changed whenever their requirements do. RecruiterCover is backed by A rated capacity.
