Prestige Underwriting wins MGA of the Year 2024
Leading non-standard MGA Prestige Underwriting was thrilled to be crowned the MGA of the Year at the 2024 British Insurance Awards.
Attendees cheered loudly from the crowd as Managing Director Alison Williams collected the much-deserved, prestigious UK-wide accolade award at a full capacity Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday evening.
The British Insurance Awards 2024, celebrating its 30th anniversary, is hosted by Insurance Post. The awards are contested by hundreds of underwriters, brokers, and intermediaries to recognise and celebrate the pinnacle of innovation and excellence across the UK’s insurance industry. One of six finalists in a hotly contested category, the MGA of the Year accolade was the inaugural, and extremely well-deserved win for Prestige Underwriting.

Category criteria required entrants to demonstrate profitable growth, customer retention, staff progression and promotion of professionalism, innovation and examples of new initiatives aligned with the MGA’s strategic and business goals. At the Awards evening, the host highlighted that the category judges were impressed by Prestige Underwriting’s longevity and strength of capacity, innovations to support Broker development, YOY growth across all key product lines and its ability to navigate a very difficult personal lines market.
