NMU BIBA 2023 Reflections

NMU-BIBA-2023-Reflections

Authored by BIBA

Once again, we were pleased to see the insurance industry in full swing at the BIBA Conference and Exhibition in Manchester this year, where we enjoyed the opportunity to see our regional broker partners and make plenty of new connections throughout the two-day event.

With a reported 9,000 attendees at this year’s event, it was the largest BIBA Conference to date and we’re already looking forward to what 2024 has to offer. Throughout the exhibition, our team welcomed hundreds of brokers onto our stand to discuss our range of specialty insurance solutions, and we counted over 1,000 smoothies being served over the course of the two days. The theme for 2023 was ‘Rising to the Challenge’ and we’ve certainly been doing that at NMU and GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients.

Sharing our experience with GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients

We were thrilled to once again share the experience with our colleagues at GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients, specialists in high-net-worth insurance products and services, who recently ranked 1st place for service in Highpoint’s High-Net-Worth Home Report 2022/23.

The private clients offering gives brokers access to further products from the group, backed by Munich Re and strengthened with a service driven experience.

What’s next for NMU and GrovesJohnWestrup?

David Perfect, Commercial Director of Munich Re Specialty Insurance (UK) Limited, sees a bright future for both brands.

“We’re standing out to brokers as a provider they rely on. The success of GrovesJohnWestrup in Highpoint's High-Net-Worth Home Report 2022/23 report is clear evidence of the progress we are making. And NMU remains an important partner for brokers, as recognised by Insurance Age’s 2022 Broker Satisfaction Survey for Commercial Lines."

Strong collaboration between our brands allows us to share our experience and learnings, in order to build expert offerings for insurance brokers and their clients. Supported by an award-winning underwriting team, we will ensure brokers continue to receive the best service from a dedicated relationship management team who have the knowledge to link them to the expert products our customers need."

We’re deeply committed to support brokers in our key UK regions. To facilitate face-to-face meetings and collaborative problem solving, we have recently opened a brand new office in central Manchester. If you’d like to meet your NMU or GrovesJohnWestrup Private Clients underwriting contact in person, please do arrange a visit.
