HDI Global SE (HDI) has announced the appointments of Philip Healy and Dron Kyle to the Motor Fleet team. Philip and Dron assumed their roles in June and July 2020, respectively.

Philip joins HDI as Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter and Team Leader following time at Aon, where he was a placing broker in the UK & Ireland facultative Motor Reinsurance team and has almost 30 years of Motor Fleet insurance experience.

Dron moves to HDI from Geotab GmbH and has assumed the role of Motor Risk Engineer. In his role at Geotab, Dron worked within the Solutions Engineering Consultancy team to help embed telematics data and driver behaviour strategy into his clients' business processes.

These new appointments follow the promotion of Michael Reynolds to Assistant Motor Fleet Underwriter in May.

In other changes to the Motor Fleet team, HDI will say goodbye to Michael Gwilt, Motor Fleet Risk Manager, later this year after eight years in post.

John Shepherd, Director of Motor Fleet Underwriting, said of the latest developments within his team: “We are delighted to welcome Philip and Dron to the HDI Motor Fleet team and are confident their experience in the insurance and telematics sectors will allow us to continue delivering outstanding service and insight to our clients and broker partners. I’d also like to express my gratitude to Michael Gwilt for his service and exceptional contribution to development of the Motor Fleet proposition at HDI. He will be very sorely missed by colleagues, clients and brokers alike.”
