AXA XL has announced that Mike Gosselin has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer, UK & Lloyd’s, effective April 2024 subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Gosselin will be responsible for underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and driving profitability for AXA XL in the UK across our Lloyd’s and company market platforms.

Commenting on Mr Gosselin’s appointment, Sean McGovern, AXA XL, UK & Lloyd’s CEO said: “I am delighted that Mike will be joining my leadership team at an exciting point in our evolution. He brings extensive underwriting experience which will be invaluable as we progress our growth strategy across our London Market business and across our multinational and mid-market segments.”

Mr. Gosselin was previously Global Leader, Energy & Transition Risk at Liberty Global Risk Solutions, prior to this role he spent 20 years at Liberty Speciality Markets, where he held several positions, including Chief Underwriting Officer responsible for multiple lines of business.
