Allianz celebrates two wins at the British Insurance Awards
Allianz Insurance is celebrating today following a successful night at the 26th British Insurance Awards.
The awards were held virtually for the first time with Jonathan Swift, director of content, Insurance Post and comedian Josh Widdecombe hosting the evening.
Allianz scooped The Major Loss Award with Sedgwick for a joint project following a flash flood event on a university campus.
Chief claims officer, Graham Gibson commented: “Winning the Major Loss Award with Sedgwick Is a fantastic result and demonstrates the importance of proactive co-operation. The complexity and scale of this case made it one of – if not the - most challenging major loss cases our team has faced to date. Its success would not have been possible were it not for the willingness of all parties to collaborate so closely and do everything in their power to bring about the best outcome for the customer. The innovative approach and determination to make this a success resulted in exactly that.”
CEO Jon Dye, was awarded the prestigious Insurance Personality of the Year Award for overseeing the acquisition and integration of LV= and L&G, as well as supporting the wider industry through his role as ABI Chairman in a year of challenge and opportunity.
