It’s that time of year and a chance to once again say a huge thank you for your support through another extraordinary year. It’s been a pleasure to see lots of you in person, especially at the first BIBA since 2019, with the big reveal of our refreshed brand. The new strapline and logo reflect our continued focus on working with you to achieve more as we expand our risk appetite.

As we approach the festive season, no doubt, like us, you are reflecting on the past year and the challenges we face in 2023. Our partnership is more important than ever to help us jointly navigate the economic climate with accelerated inflation and market conditions.

Over the last 12 months, we have been working on new initiatives to enhance our offering to brokers, including enhancing the Risk Assist proposition.  We’ve updated the content, added new tools, and launched an “Ask the Expert” app.

Alongside propositions, we’re investing in people. We’ve continued to develop our Risk Control Surveyor apprentices to ensure that we can continue to survey ‘in-house’ and succession plan. Our National Trading Centre continues to go from strength to strength. The recent addition of five new P&C underwriters will create additional bandwidth alongside various new recruits throughout our regional network. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do, so it is important that we are available when you need us. We are investing in a new telephony system and are making the necessary changes, so that you can reach us first time, every time.

We are always seeking to improve our policies to meet the evolving needs of your clients. We have extended our Motor Fleet & Mini Fleet wordings to include cables and batteries for EVs, as well as cover for charging points. We will continue to grow our established position in the EV market. We have listened to your feedback and made it easier to trade Premier Property Owners with our new sophisticated rating model.

We always aim to improve what we do and how we do it. But, most importantly, the strong relationships with you that we have built and nurtured together make all the difference. Our partnership provides the momentum for a strong start in the New Year, and 2023 will see us continuing to achieve more together.

Best wishes for the festive season and a Happy New Year. See you in 2023!
