While the industry has not had the pleasure of heading to Manchester this week for the BIBA Conference, there has still been a bit of a buzz in the air, and so much goodwill for BIBA. It’s testament to just how much we’ve all missed getting together for a second May in a row. Fingers crossed next year the show can go on in person!
Strengthening Resilience was the conference theme and this week the resilience shown by BIBA as an organisation has echoed the resilience our whole sector has shown in 2020 and 2021 so far.
On our BIBA stand this week, we chose to showcase e-trading, as something which has helped us to be resilient. Home & Legacy Online has been a real focus for us since it launched 5 years ago, and we set various improvements live over the last year. Most recently it was the addition of a Document Portal. Brokers have recognised our efforts with Home & Legacy Online by ranking us highly this week.
The events of the last year truly highlighted the advantages of making access to online services widely available – for brokers, insurance providers and policyholders alike. We attribute the ease with which we switched to remote working, at least in part, to having robust e-trading and online platforms in place.
And so, for us online service development continues to be a key priority. We will continue to ask brokers for their feedback. We currently have a survey running so brokers can tell us what they think we should do next on Home & Legacy Online and to ensure we’re offering you the best service we can. As for the future, it will definitely include additional functionality for Home & Legacy Online – in the way that is most helpful to brokers.
