Alesco Risk Management Services (Alesco) has announced Simon Clarkson will be joining as an Executive Partner in its energy division. He will focus on identifying new business opportunities across the upstream and downstream energy markets, predominantly in the US upstream market. He joins on 01 December 2016 and will report to Jonathan Lyne, Chairman of the energy division.
Simon brings over three decades of experience to Alesco. He joins from Miller where he was Head of Energy broking and responsible for managing primarily US upstream, downstream and production business lines. Prior to this, he was a Director at Lloyd and Partners specialising in the generation of and broking of US upstream business. He began his career at Colburn French and Kneen, originally working on hull and oil & gas business lines, before joining Alexander Forbes to establish its energy division.
Jonathan Lyne, Chairman of Energy at Alesco, said: “Over the last 18 months both the energy and insurance markets have experienced challenging market conditions.
