Erskine Murray appoint ‘Head of Region’ to aid North West growth plans
Erskine Murray has appointed Lynette Houghton as ‘Head of Region’ to support their growth plans in the North West following the acquisition of Offley Insurance Services Ltd last year.
News of the appointment follows a period of heightened activity for Erskine Murray having recently acquired both Offley Insurance Services Ltd and Essex-based brokerage Asciak Holdaway Merritt Ltd to boost their presence regionally throughout the UK.
Commercial Director, Alan Wheeler ACII said: “Having acquired Offley Insurance, we have now strengthened our position in the North West by expanding our team and enhancing our service offering. This brings with it a need to implement and develop the Company Strategy, focus on our Business Development Initiatives, Community Relationships, General Management and Client Services delivery to ensure we continue to provide an excellent service to our customers.
“With this in mind, we are delighted to have Lynette on board as ‘Head of Region’ to spearhead these initiatives and developments. Lynette is already integrated within the team and is working closely with Peter Morissey to build new opportunities for Offley Insurance Services Ltd and the region.”
Lynette has been with the company for over 5 years, having spent 25 years with National Brokers in the North West, so is well equipped to the lead the team and truly establish Erskine Murray in the region.
Lynette commented: “I’m delighted to be heading up the North West Region and firmly believe we are in an immensely strong position to drive this area and make it a successful hub for us.”
“Erskine Murray, member of the Willis Towers Watson Networks and Unison, is an incredibly strong independent broker. With these latest two acquisitions we now employ more than 70 people across the UK, offering general employee benefits and specialist professional indemnity insurances to SME and mid corporate businesses. I therefore believe we are in excellent shape with the support of a strong leadership team to build on this next phase of development.
“My plan is to continue to develop our client base, together with obtaining new opportunities in the area. I am excited about what the future holds for us.”
Erskine Murray continue to develop their acquisitions, sourcing new partners that offer the right strategic fit in order to open up new revenue opportunities.
