Kansas headquartered insurance broker Lockton issued a statement on Twitter on Monday evening (26th February 2018) advising that they had “notified the NRA (National Rifle Association) that it will discontinue providing brokerage services for NRA-endorsed insurance programs under the terms of its contract.”

Lockton’s decision sees them follow several other large corporations that have called time on their business relationships with the NRA in the wake of the recent Florida high school shooting that killed 17 people.

Lockton and other organisations faced considerable pressure from anti-violence groups and others on social media to discontinue their relationships with the NRA.

Lockton made no further other statement.
