Carole Nash employees adopt new World Superbike champion's name to celebrate

Kawasaki Racing Team's Jonathan Rea clinched the World Superbike title last Sunday and the star racer, born in Northern Ireland but revered on both sides of the border, is now seeing his achievements celebrated in a variety of ways.

Colleagues at specialist insurance brokers Carole Nash, which have been sponsoring Jonathan Rea for several years, have changed their names by deed poll to celebrate the 28-year-old's world title, secured with two race weekends remaining of the 2015 season.

Eamonn Holt, Team Leader at Carole Nash in Dublin, said: "What Jonathan accomplished on Sunday is unbelievable. We were glued to our screens with our fingers firmly crossed until he finished Race One! It had been a long time since a rider from these shores last won a world title, but we have a feeling there's a few more to come from Jonathan, he's got so much talent.

"We're all very happy for him and his family. Not only is he a formidable competitor on a bike, he's also an extremely kind and humble guy, and we're proud to count him as a longstanding friend of ours."

Following the last World Superbike race of the season – in Qatar on October 18 – Jonathan Rea will head to the NEC in Birmingham for Motorcycle Live. He will appear on Carole Nash's stand, where he will be on hand to meet and pose for photos with fans.

Also in attendance will be another two big names from the motorcycle racing world, "Rocket" Ron Haslam and his son, "Pocket Rocket" Leon Haslam, who likes Jonathan Rea competes in World Superbike (currently 4th in the standings).
