Be Wiser Insurance has celebrated the first anniversary of its Swindon offices with news that it plans to recruit up to 200 more people this year.
The Hampshire-based company has grown from zero to 100 people in its first year in the town and Swindon’s chief operating officer Richard Smith said the plan now is to build on the firm foundations in the town with a major recruitment drive.
“We’ve had a great first year here in Swindon and we’ve been delighted to offer so many people real career opportunities and this growth is set to continue,” said Richard.
“We have a strong philosophy of staff development and training at Be Wiser and some of our very first recruits are reaping the benefits of this with promotion and professional qualifications.”
Most new recruits join Be Wiser’s popular apprenticeship scheme and Richard said the career progression has proved one of the biggest attractions for staff in Swindon.
“We are always looking for talented people who want to join our growing team,” said Richard.
“We know the best people are looking for career development and the breadth of our business and training commitment means that we are well placed to attract these people.”
Be Wiser employs more than 600 people at its headquarters in Andover and the Swindon office and is one of the country’s fastest growing personal lines brokers.
