It is acknowledged that video content is now very much an important part of a company’s marketing mix. It is engaging and a quick and efficient method of communicating sometimes very complex messages. 

Video is being used for ‘explainer videos’, tutorials, product teasers & demos as well as thought leadership. Like all digital media it provides ROI metrics, be that number of views, number of leads/clicks, audience engagement, brand awareness.

We hear the word ‘resilience’ used quite a lot in this insurance industry of ours.

The truth is, we only really find out how resilient we are when we are met with a challenge – we either rise, we fall or I guess we simply live somewhere in between.

Steve Redgwell the CEO of PIB Group Specialty Division, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease four and a half years ago, not unsurprisingly, chose to RISE.

Women in insurance – Stand Proud!!!

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural 50 over Fifty event, which was held at the gravity defying, very plush offices of WTW on Lime Street.

50 over Fifty is a relatively new initiative aimed at celebrating the contribution women aged over 50 make to all aspects of the UK insurance industry. It was a fabulous.

It was founded by two very Inspirational women Katrina Foster and Michaela Gibson.

Anyway, why the very ballsy clickbait headline Paul you might ask????

Allianz post BIBA 2022 Blog: Never underestimate your role in the ESG mission

Well, that was fun. It felt so good to be back in Manchester for the BIBA conference again.

Thank you BIBA for putting on a fantastic conference, three years in the making, and it did not disappoint; connecting with everyone, including brokers, colleagues and journalists face to face again, and seeing the best in the business is special.

I had a busy two days, catching up with brokers and journalists, while showing off Allianz’s sustainable stand, which will now be fully recycled.

But now is the time to ask ourselves if we, as an industry, are ready to meet those needs. And if not, how can we work together to find new solutions that help our customers be more resilient?
