What is the Insurance Distribution Directive?
The Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) is a law that was passed by the European Union in 2016.
As with most laws made by the European Union, there was an implementation period for the IDD. As a result, the new law will come into force in the UK on the 1st October 2018.
