New award categories launched at the CII Awards

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) have announced an overhaul to their annual awards which celebrate talent at its local institutes and standards of excellence among its global membership.

The new categories include:

  • Emerging Professional of the Year
  • Chartered Firm / Member of the Year
  • Initiative of the Year
  • Unsung Hero of the Year
  • The Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence

Nominations for the awards are open to CII and Personal Finance Society (PFS) members who have demonstrated outstanding or exceptional qualities and achievements. Any individual from the CII/PFS membership can submit a nomination, and members can also nominate themselves.

Sian Fisher, CEO of the CII said: “These new categories are important because they celebrate inclusivity within the profession, something for which there has been a real drive towards as we begin to further understand the true benefits a broader range of skills and ideas brings to society. But more so, these awards recognise and celebrate the excellence that our members show in delivering better outcomes to consumers.”

Jonathan Clark, President of the CII will be presenting the awards which will take place at The Principal Hotel in York after the Network Conference on 26th June, 2019.
