Future proofing your broking business at BIBA 2019 with help from the CII
The Chartered Insurance Institute will be helping brokers to ‘future-proof’ their business at this year’s BIBA conference.
In the main exhibition hall at stand E50, the CII’s stand will showcase the very latest from the CII in broking, learning, apprenticeships and Chartered.
In order to help brokers’ visualise what the future may look like, the stand will incorporate state-of-the-art, augmented reality technology to transport brokers into the future.
They will see what the world could look like in the future, with new risks and opportunities.
Brokers will be able to have their picture taken ‘in the future’, which will be emailed to them. There will also be futuristic giveaways.
Brokers will also be able to find out more about the recently launched Society of Insurance Broking (SIB).
Liz Foster, non-executive managing director for the Society, will be on the stand to explain the role of the society to brokers.
Brokers will be able to find out how they can get involved in the society and how it can benefit them at the conference.
The CII will also have a team of experts on hand throughout the conference to help visitors who want to find out more about the CII’s suite of professional qualifications and training, as well as its apprenticeship programme.
CII specialists will be on hand to advise brokers on entry and study requirements and help them choose the right programmes for their business.
Sian Fisher, chief executive officer of the CII, said: “We are really excited about this year’s BIBA conference. The world is changing at a rapid pace and we want to show brokers how we can work with them to future proof their businesses.”
“Towards the end of last year, we launched our Society in Insurance Broking and we are looking forward to seeing our brokers at the conference and to discussing how they can get involved.”
