MGAA publishes 2022 Annual Report

The MGAA continues to go from strength to strength with your valued support and I’m pleased to confirm that membership has increased, across all tiers, over the last twelve months. The Executive team have continued to implement the recommendations of our members following our comprehensive research in 2021, and we will continue to ensure our propositions and membership content remains relevant to the needs of all our members as we enter our next financial year.
Some headline achievements of the year are;
- Appointment of Tim Richards as our Technical Services Manager
- Introduction of Technical Underwriting Forums
- Introduction of Personal Lines Forum
- Return to a full calendar of face-to-face events
- 46 online market briefings held
- 18% increase in our membership base across all tiers

About MGAA
The Managing General Agents' Association is a not-for-profit trade association representing true MGAs. Our aim is to represent and support the UK MGA market. We work within the professional framework of the Chartered Insurance Institute and our members sign the MGAA Code of ethics.
Managing General Agents (MGAs) are an important, established and fast-growing sector of the UK insurance industry.
Over 300 MGAs currently underwrite over 10% of the UK’s £47 billion general insurance market premiums.
MGAs deserve specific representation to lobby on their behalf, communicate their considerable benefits and drive best practice.
The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) was formed in 2011 to fulfil this role.
The total number of full MGA members now stands at 101, which collectively represent over £3.5bn of underwriting capacity.
