HDI Global appoints Niall Carberry as Head of Underwriting in Ireland

HDI Global SE – UK & Ireland (HDI) is pleased to announce that Niall Carberry has been appointed to the role of Head of Underwriting, Ireland.

In this role, Carberry will lead HDI’s business in Ireland. He will report to Stephanie Ogden, Director of Underwriting & Distribution.

Carberry joins HDI from Chubb where he has spent the majority of his career to date. In his most recent role, he held overall responsibility for the Casualty Portfolio in Ireland.

Of his new role at HDI, Carberry commented: “I am delighted to take up this role with HDI Global in Ireland. It is a fantastic opportunity to grow the business here providing insurance solutions that matter to both clients and brokers alike. I am very much looking forward to joining the Ireland team and building on their recent successes.”

Ogden commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Niall to HDI. Niall’s appointment is hugely important as we continue our investment into the Irish market to become a player of real influence.
