  • About Geo

    The Geo journey has begun.

An exciting future lies ahead as our Towergate businesses move over to Geo. From 1 February 2018, our personal lines business joins Geo Specialty in operating under the Geo brand. The move marks the next step in a programme of change as we transform into an agile MGA structured for long term success in an evolving insurance market.

Our commercial businesses will soon also move over to Geo, completing the operational phase of the transition. But that’s by no means the end of it. We’re on a journey to make a difference. To carriers. To brokers. To the industry as a whole. Geo is the start of that journey.

We look forward to sharing it with you.

Geo launches online platform for its comprehensive Terrorism solution

Geo Specialty, part of UK MGA Geo Underwriting, today announces the launch of its online quote and bind platform for its market leading product. The new system offers quote, bind and policy issuance all at the click of a button.

The Geo Specialty product is a bespoke political violence cover, which offers quick, efficient and competitive terms as well as access to limits of up to £115 million per property in the UK.

These limit sizes are accompanied by a coverage suite that includes non-damage denial of access and loss of attraction, as well as looting post loss and cover to include the insured supply chain.

The product offering is led by Marcus Meredith, Senior Underwriter, and Ex-Army Captain, Geo Specialty Political Violence.

Companies across the UK face an increasingly complex terrorist threat, exposing them to gaps in their existing terrorism cover, such as contingent business interruption, supply chain disruption and the consequences of loss of attraction following an attack.

The Geo Specialty product delivers an effective answer to this constantly evolving problem by delivering a fast and easy to navigate e-insurance solution.

Marcus Meredith, Senior Underwriter, Geo Specialty Political Violence, commented: “By building an e-insurance solution that gives immediate access to our Terrorism product in the UK, we are responding to the developing terror threat that businesses face. As the threat of both political and religious extremes, as well as “self-radicalised” fanatics using vehicles and other rudimentary weaponry, increases, brokers and clients need a faster and more responsive way to access the relevant terrorism cover they need. That is what our e-insurance initiative delivers.”
