Direct Commercial’s brand-new Haul In One quote portal is NOW LIVE

Haul In One (HIO) is a ‘book and bonus’ rated facility that has been operating for nearly a decade. The platform has recently seen a huge increase in demand as other portals and markets have chosen to, or been forced, to cease/exit.

Originally for up to 6 vehicles on 1 policy, the system was expanded last year to be able to accommodate up to 10 vehicles from small vans through to 44T lorries, tankers, tippers, skip carriers, car transporters and the like, in any combination. A policy can be incepted with one vehicle and then further vehicles added throughout the course of a year with each vehicle earning its own no claims bonus.

Michael Dickinson, Head of Schemes at DCL commented ‘The new portal has been a long time coming but the look and feel is now exactly as I had wanted and it heralds the start of some very significant improvements to the service we are offering over the coming months. Apart from a new and intuitive question set to speed up the quote process, we are also going to be offering mid-term adjustments and renewals automatically via the system making it totally full cycle; this includes new business documentation being available instantly on inception. The system will also have an integrated underwriting guide and noticeboard detailing any up to the minute information that maybe relevant.’

Further enhancements on the new portal include the creation of Broker Admin logins being issued enabling our broker partners to manage their own staff access rather than needing to contact the HIO team. Payment options have also been radically updated now providing options for finance, payment in full or adding to a broker’s monthly statement all via the portal.

The facility remains unchanged in that it can accommodate risks involving the carriage of Hazardous goods, trailer cover and foreign use. Whilst originally set up for the Haulage and Courier market, many other occupations can also now be considered.

DCL have a broad acceptance criteria for drivers with motoring convictions and can offer ANY licenced driver in many instances - HIO is no exception to these rules. Whilst New ventures are not generally quoted, the facility can often offer some very competitive terms for Owner Drivers setting up on their own if they have, and can prove, previous experience working for a company/employer.
