New IMO regulation calls for a sharp reduction in ships' sulphur emissions

Starting in 2020, ships will be required to reduce sulphur emissions to less than 0.5%, down from the current limit of 3.5%. This seemingly small change could have massive implications not only for maritime companies but also for the global economy.
