The HERoes Women Role Model 2022 Lists have been announced today and for the second year running three AXA UK&I leaders are included for their commitment to promoting diversity and instilling a culture of inclusion in the workplace.

Claudio Gienal, CEO of AXA UK&I, has been included in the top 20 of the HERoes Advocates Executive List for making gender equality a key strategic priority for AXA UK&I. This has resulted in AXA being listed in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women in both 2021 and 2022 and the gender seniority gap reducing significantly under his leadership. Claudio is also an active participant of the Swiss Embassy’s Young Professionals Group Mentoring Programme, which sees him mentor and coach future generations of female business leaders.

In the top 20 of this year’s HERoes 100 Women Executive List is Tracy Garrad, CEO of AXA Health. Tracy is also the Executive Sponsor for D&I across AXA UK&I and chairs the D&I Board. Over the past year she’s helped develop and implement the company’s new Carers@AXA employee network and supported the introduction of AXA UK’s new domestic abuse policy. Tracy is also a member of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Accountable Exec Taskforce which developed the Women in Finance Charter — a commitment by HM Treasury and signatory firms to work together to build a more balanced and fair industry.

Caroline Spence, Head of UK&I Chief Risk Office, has been included in the HERoes 100 Women Future Leaders List. For the past two years Caroline has chaired the AXA Balance Employee Network, which focuses on gender equality and supporting working families. She’s also been key in creating AXAUK’s domestic abuse policy and information hub which launched earlier this year.
