Aviva wins 2019 Risk Management Specialist Company of the Year

On Wednesday 6 November we were proud to be awarded Risk Management Specialist Company of the Year at the 10th annual CIR Risk Management ceremony. Chris Andrews, Head of Aviva Risk Management Solutions, and team collected the award, attended by some 400 people at the Grosvenor in Mayfair, London.
Our Aviva Risk Management Solutions proposition recognises the importance of a ‘prevention-first’ philosophy, focussing on upskilling and developing our own team so that we can offer you and your clients best industry practice advice and a range of in-house and partner-provided solutions, designed to prevent losses to their business’ ever happening in the first place.
Generally, the insurance industry has been slow to recognise that, although clients are happy to see claims being paid and normality restored following a loss, there would almost certainly have been less disruption if the loss had not occurred in the first place. That’s why we aim to get ahead of the curve, not only providing support if the worst happens, but also offering a range of solutions designed to prevent the loss from ever happening at all.
Customers who engage with the Prevention First strategy don’t just benefit from avoiding and mitigating losses. Having a better understanding of the risk and greater confidence in their risk management programmes can be of benefit when it comes to renewal.
