Aviva Future Leader Programme for brokers receives CII recognition
The Aviva Future Leader Programme started in 2018 with 20 brokers committed to developing their skills to get them boardroom-ready. With industry support from mentors such as Ian Donaldson (Autonet) and Paul Chainey (Miles Smith) the programme quickly caught the attention of other brokers wanting to join and fast track their development. In January 2019 a new wave of brokers joined the two-year course. Aviva are committed to supporting industry talent and offer training to independent brokers. Since last year they have been working with the CII to gain industry recognition for the programme.
At the beginning of April Aviva’s Future Leader Programme received accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The CII Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation, recognises training programmes for their quality and relevance to meeting the professional development needs of their participants. Aviva currently have thirty-seven delegates on their Aviva Future Leader Programme. Their programme which trains and develops the skills required for leadership, was recognised by the CII for “high quality, well presented training materials, that catered for different learning styles”. The CII noted there are “knowledgeable and approachable trainers” and “a high level of delegate engagement and interactivity”.
The CII also recognised Aviva’s programme gives delegates opportunities to learn from acknowledged industry experts through one-to-one mentoring and specialist guest presentations. As part of the accreditation process the CII reviewed feedback from their delegates. The CII commented “positive feedback, demonstrated in the quotes provided by delegates and information shared during the observations, where many delegates felt the programme had exceeded their expectations.”
Aviva are incredibly proud to have received accreditation from the CII for their Aviva Future Leader Programme. They will be looking for new delegates to join Aviva’s programme in the summer. Applications for the Aviva Future Leader Programme 2020 open in July and run through September. For more information please visit https://broker.aviva.co.uk/leader/
Finally, Aviva also heard in April, that their programme had made the shortlist for “Investment in the profession/training award” at the British Insurance Awards. Fingers crossed to everyone involved and a big thank you to the team and all the candidates who have made the Aviva Future Leader Programme a fantastic success since launching only last year.
