Aviva further enhances Personal Lines proposition on Fast Trade
In 2018, Aviva added their core personal lines products on to their award-winning digital trading platform, Fast Trade. The move was part of their continued commitment to support independent and regional brokers by providing a simple, convenient, straightforward and alternative way to trade personal lines with Aviva.
Since launch, over 1,300 brokers have accessed the platform to provide personal lines cover to more than 2,000 customers. Brokers benefit from accessing Aviva’s best possible prices on Fast Trade thanks to savings made in transaction fees and print costs being passed back on to the customer. They can also access Aviva’s expert underwriters through Live Chat and instantly download or share documents across Aviva’s commercial and personal lines digital offering, all in one place.

Back in July 2018, Aviva’s Distribution Director for Intermediated Personal Lines David Skinn, was discussing the launch of personal lines on Fast Trade and promised that there was more to come as we continue to invest in personal lines now, and with an eye on the future. In the last year, this promise has been evident by the developments and improvements made to further enhance the experience and ease of trading personal lines on Fast Trade.
So, what’s changed?
- Insurer Hosted Pricing (IHP) for Your Home and Home Plus: Aviva’s most sophisticated pricing model, enriched data, multi-peril ratings, more accurate flood mapping and enhanced product limits for Home products on Fast Trade
- Reduced quote times – Removal of 25% of questions vs Software Houses, making it easier and quicker for brokers to quote with Aviva
- Improving pricing – Continuously refining rates to improve competitiveness in the market
- Auto-renewals for Private Car and Your Van – For the first time in broker personal lines saving valuable time and admin through auto-acceptance of motor renewals
There are more exciting changes on the horizon to help continue Aviva’s momentum to further improve their digitally traded personal lines offering.
However, Aviva’s commitment wasn’t solely isolated to Fast Trade. They have committed to supporting brokers who trade personal lines with Aviva, regardless of their preferred trading route. Within the last year, Aviva has also increased their capability in the space with key deliveries including home renewals on Open GI and Insurer Hosted Pricing (IHP) rollout for our private car offering across all major Software Houses.
