Enhanced Terrorism Insurance product from Angel Risk Management

Terroism-Insurance

Angel’s new standalone terrorism wording now specifically includes Non-Property Damage Denial of Access business interruption cover regardless of whether the original property policy includes it; furthermore, it no longer requires an act of terror to be certified in order to trigger the policy. All this and the ability to offer limits of up to £150,000,000 to cater for even the larger properties.

The Borough Market terrorist attack demonstrated that significant denial of access business interruption losses can occur regardless of whether or not there is property damage. So whilst the Angel standalone terrorism wording has been set up to mirror the property policy coverage it has now been enhanced to include the Non-Property Damage Denial of Access extension as standard.

Furthermore, the removal of the act of terrorism certification requirement means that Angel can begin the process of adjusting and settling claims as soon as it becomes apparent that a loss has been caused by terrorists without the need to wait for an official certification.

With the current threat level in the United Kingdom from international terrorism set at ‘severe’, meaning that a terrorist attack is ‘highly likely’, Angel has made these wording enhancements to ensure brokers can find the right cover for their clients and avoid coverage confusion and claim delays.
