Allianz supports the final of Ocean Hackathon 2021
Organised by the Campus Mondial de la Mer, Ocean Hackathon aims to bring out innovative maritime products and services.
Over one weekend (5-7 November 2021), teams in 15 cities will take up challenges on how to protect the oceans and promote a sustainable maritime economy. Topics will include pollution, fishing, conservation, coastal environment, sailing and ecotourism, among others. In Cardiff, for instance, two teams will look at offshore energy and submarine cables.
People from various backgrounds are encouraged to take part in the 122 challenges available across the world, including marine biology but also data analytics, communication, IT, geography, web design, economy and other academic and technical areas.
One winner from each city will be selected to take part in the final in December in Brest (France), which is organised with the support of Allianz Group.
