Marsh has announced the appointment of Philip Turner as UK Head of Specie within Marsh JLT Specialty. Based in London, Mr. Turner is expected to join the business in the first quarter of 2020.
With over 40 years’ specialist experience, Mr. Turner is one of the industry’s foremost experts in the placement of commercial insurance for fine art, jewellery, precious metals, cash in transit, investor protection, and digital assets. Most recently, Mr. Turner was Specie Underwriter at Pioneer Underwriting and was previously Head of Specie at insurer Canopius for four years. Mr. Turner had led Marsh’s highly successful Specie Practice from 1997 to 2015, and spearheaded the development of market-leading solutions in the areas of kidnap and ransom, cash in transit, and product recall.
