Gallagher today announces Peter Chesterfield has been appointed partner for the construction team within its Specialty Division.
In his new role, Peter will be responsible for client engagement and business development. His key areas of focus will be how Gallagher can further develop and differentiate the services and products it offers, plus ensuring that client service is best in class.
Peter brings a wealth of relevant experience from his previous role at JLT, where he was sales leader for its construction team.
Prior to this role, Peter held a number of executive roles internationally that were both sales and service focused.
Gallagher’s construction team provides risk management and insurance solutions to large construction businesses including contractors, property developers, owners, infrastructure, renewable energy, PPP/PFI and engineering.
Commenting on his appointment, Peter said: “The insurance needs of our clients are complex and vary greatly depending on sector, size and specialism. Gallagher’s approach of providing bespoke solutions for each client was really appealing to me, and I believe is vital to ensure that our clients have the service, advice and cover that is relevant and bespoke to their business.
“My remit is a balance of strategy, client engagement and development of further risk management and insurance solutions to help clients achieve their related objectives. I am looking forward to working with our specialised teams, prospects and clients in realising the potential for their business in the suite of services that Gallagher delivers.”
