Erskine Murray strengthens its position with appointment of Head of Business Development

In support of national expansion plans for 2018

Erskine Murray has appointed a new ‘Head of Business Development’ to meet the demands of the company’s ambitious acquisition and expansion plans.

Stewart Liddell will be responsible for all new business, as well as spearheading the corporate division to create new revenue opportunities.

Today marks Stewart’s first day in the business, and he commented "Its great to be a part of the Erskine Murray team, back in Leicester where my career in the insurance world began. I firmly believe that the business is in a great position to maximise the growing opportunities that exist in the market, having taken the time to build solid foundations.

"The world for insurance brokers is changing, yet Erskine Murray are carving a clear path for growth. They have remodelled for long-term success, growing at a sensible rate with a quality Senior Executive team in place to lead the way and to continue their unwavering focus on client service. This was a key factor me."

This latest announcement follows hot on the heels of news that the Leicester-based business recently acquired Cheshire-based brokerage Offley Insurance Services Ltd, in order to boost their regional presence and extend their support services for existing clients.

Alan Wheeler, Commercial Director at Erskine Murray said: “We have reached some key milestones as a business over the last six months. Numerous activities across the organisation have been underway to strengthen our team and offering, and we are therefore excited to have Stewart join us on this upward journey, leading our development plans.

“Stewart’s appointment will now prepare us for our next phase of development and expansion goals for 2018.“
