Compass Broker Services deepens fleet expertise with specialist London market hires

Compass Broker Services, the UK networks division of Arthur J. Gallagher has announced that Darren Grodent has been appointed Senior Motor Fleet Broker within its London markets division. Expanding its motor fleet team further is Patrick Bartlett who has taken on the role of Motor Fleet Renewals Executive.

Bringing 17 years’ experience within the London market, Darren joins Compass from Lloyd’s broker Holman’s where he spent eight years as a motor fleet account handler. Prior to that he spent six years at Carroll London Markets, also as a fleet account handler, having joined in 2003 from Tradex where he began his insurance career in 1998. Darren will be responsible for growing new business, as well as the management and development of key insurer markets.

Patrick has worked in the London motor fleet market for seven years, and joins Compass from Amlin UK, where he was a cross-class underwriting technician looking after new business, renewals, referrals, full policy administration and account management. Prior to that, he worked at Newline Insurance Company for four years as a motor fleet underwriting assistant, having joined from QBE Europe in 2009.
